  • FLAG RAISING CEREMONY TO CELEBRATE THE 116TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PROCLAMATION OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE

    Ambassador Belen F. Anota  led the Embassy officers and staff and Attached Services for a Flag Raising Ceremony  at the Embassy Chancery on 12 June 2014 at 8:00am.

    After singing the Philippine National Anthem, there was the reading of the Independence Day Messages of the President of the Republic of the Philippines, Vice President,  Secretary of Foreign Affairs, and Secretary of Labor and Employment.

    Ambassador Belen F. Anota read the message of His Excellency President Benigno S. Aquino III,  Minister and Consul General Nina P. Cainglet read the message of Vice President Jejomar Binay,  First Secretary and Consul Jim Tito San Agustin read the message of Secretary Albert Del Rosario, and Labour Attache Rodolfo Sabulao read the message of Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz of Labor and Employment.

    The Filipino military students also joined in the Flag Raising Ceremony and the Vin D’Honneur hosted by the Philippine Embassy in Canberra for the Diplomatic Corps, Australian government officials, academe and the Filipino community leaders in Canberra later that day.
