New Zealand’s National Terrorism Threat Level has been downgraded from high to medium
New Zealand’s National Terrorism Threat Level has been downgraded from high to medium pursuant to the decision made by the Combined Threat Assessment Group (CTAG) – an independent multi-agency group.
However, this means that while the threat has subsided, a terrorist attack is still feasible.
The public are therefore advised to go about their daily lives as normal, but should stay vigilant. Suspicious or concerning behaviour should be reported to Police on 111.
The New Zealand Government assures that public safety remains as its highest priority. As such, there would most likely be no noticeable change particularly with continued security presence in public places.
