Suspension of the Embassy's Consular Operations during the Extension of the Alert Level 4 Declaration by the New Zealand Government JSD-2021-14

/ advisory, covid19

Following today’s announcement of Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on the extension of Alert Level 4 (Lockdown/Eliminate) until 11:59pm on Friday, 27 August 2021, for Wellington and 11:59pm Tuesday, 31 August 2021, for Auckland, the Philippine Embassy in New Zealand will continue to temporarily suspend its consular operations until further notice.

Those with previously booked appointments at the Embassy from 18 August 2021 and up until the lockdown’s extension, are still effectively cancelled. Kindly postpone your travel and wait for further announcements. During this period, you may reach the Embassy through the following:

Via email: wellington.pe@philembassy.org.nz
Via Facebook Messenger: https://www.facebook.com/PHLinNZ/
Emergency Mobile Number for emergency cases only: (+64) 22 074 6517

For labor/employment-related matters, please directly contact the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO Wellington) via email: polo.newzealand@philembassy.org.nz.

We are still asking for your kind consideration not to use the emergency mobile number for following up on your passport dispatch or other consular-related inquiries which may be communicated by email or Facebook Messenger, to ensure that Filipinos in distress in need of urgent assistance can easily get through.

Our kababayans are still highly encouraged to stay at home, avoid crowds and non-essential activities around your communities and congregations, as well as to postpone non-essential domestic travel. The Embassy further underscores the need to abide by the regulations being imposed by the New Zealand Government, especially due to the growing number of the locations of interest.

The Embassy continues to monitor the situation and you may follow the Embassy’s website at www.philembassy.org.nz or the Embassy’s Facebook page for updates https://www.facebook.com/PHLinNZ/.

Let us all keep safe. Maraming salamat po.
