Philippine Embassy in New Zealand holds first RERB Hearing for the 2028 National Elections

20 April 2026. Wellington, New Zealand – The Philippine Embassy in Wellington, New Zealand, Resident Election Registration Board (RERB) convened on 20 April 2026 at Sentro Rizal, 50 Hobson Street, Thorndon, Wellington 6011, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, for its first RERB Hearing.

During the hearing, the board deliberated on applications for registration, certification, reactivation, correction of entries or change of name, change of address, transfer of registration, recapture, and other voter-related updates submitted between 01 December 2025 and 31 March 2026. A total of 602 applications were processed, with 601 applications approved at the conclusion of the hearing.

The hearing was presided over by Wellington PE RERB Chair Mark Anthony G. Articulo, together with members Ms. Sylvia C. Tolentino and Mr. Miguel Luis N. Moreno.

As part of the Embassy’s ongoing commitment to ensuring voter accessibility, Overseas Voter (OV) registration remains active. Filipino citizens are urged to register in preparation for the 2028 National Elections or to update their voter information. Applicants are required to bring a valid Philippine passport or a Dual Citizenship Identification Certificate. Services available include new voter registration, updating personal details (such as address or name), checking voter registration status, reactivating records deactivated due to failure to vote in two consecutive national elections, transferring voter registration records, and requesting corrections to their records.
