Ambassador Kira Christianne D. Azucena, with Consul General Christopher Aro, Labor Attaché Angel L. Borja Jr., Welfare Officer Sylvia Tolentino and the Philippine Embassy Assistance-to-Nationals Team met with some of the over 500 affected Filipino workers who lost their jobs due to the receivership of the ELE Group of Companies. Ambassador Azucena conveyed that the financial assistance was an expression of the Philippine Government's steadfast commitment to the welfare of Filipinos overseas, specially those in distress.
