EMBASSY OF THE PHILIPPINES WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND
50 Hobson Street, Thorndon, Wellington, New Zealand 6011

Delayed shipment of COMELEC CLOV and mailing packets

/ voting, overseas voting

The Embassy informs our kababayans in New Zealand, Cook Islands, Fiji, Samoa and Tonga that it is still receiving shipments from the Commission on Elections (COMELEC). As of 13 April 2022, it had verified and sent out some of the mailing packets from the following COMELEC List of Overseas Voters (CLOV):

  • JAEN - LUNA (8/15 CLOV) – 2,000 registered voters
  • LUGAS - MEJORADA (9/15 CLOV) – 2,000 registered voters
  • MEJORADA - OMUGTONG (10/15 CLOV) – 2,000 registered voters
  • ONA - POLLENTES (11/15 CLOV) – 2,000 registered voters
  • POLLENTES - SA-ONOY (12/15 CLOV) – 2,000 registered voters

For those who have changed their addresses, the Embassy will greatly appreciate it if you can coordinate with the lessor of your previous address to retrieve your ballot as the voting period had officially started on 10 April 2022 and the Embassy personnel are still currently sorting and verifying roughly 30,000 ballots.

While the Embassy’s consular services are closed during Holy Week, its personnel will be working on the sorting and verification of the ballots during this time.

Maraming salamat po sa inyong pang-unawa.
