Wellington - Ambassador Kira Christianne D. Azucena met with Ms. Hannah Yulo, Chief Executive Officer of Hotel101 Global on 14 August 2026, who shared exciting plans for the Philippine-born hotel brand’s expansion into New Zealand.

During their meeting, Ms. Yulo briefed Ambassador Azucena on Hotel101’s plans to establish a presence in one of New Zealand’s premier tourist destinations, marking another significant milestone in the international expansion of a homegrown Philippine hospitality brand.

Hotel101 is a Philippine-born hotel brand developed by DoubleDragon Corporation, with its first hotel opening in Pasay City in 2016, followed by its second property in The Fort, Taguig in 2023. In July 2025, Hotel101 became the first Filipino-owned company to list on Nasdaq, reflecting the growing global reach and competitiveness of Philippine enterprises. END
