𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀. Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac and New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines, Dr. Catherine McIntosh, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the opening of the Philippines-New Zealand Friendship Week on August 25, 2026, at the DMW Central Office in Mandaluyong City.

The celebration brought both cultures together through food, cultural dances, and local talent, with a Kiwi bird exhibit adding a distinctive touch of New Zealand. Filipino favorites such as biko, kutsinta, and taho were showcased alongside New Zealand staples like fish and chips and pavlova.

The Friendship Week highlighted the strong cultural ties, shared connections, and the growing partnership between the Philippines and New Zealand.
