Philippine Airlines Auckland to Manila Flight on 04 September 2020 JSD-2020-31

/ advisory, covid19

The Philippine Embassy received information from the Philippine Airlines (PAL) that it will conduct a special Auckland–Manila flight on 04 September 2020 at 0020H. Booking for the flight may be done through the PAL website, www.philippineairlines.com, or through your preferred travel agent.

Please be advised that this flight is not only limited to Filipinos in New Zealand but is also open to those in Pacific Island Countries (PICs). However, before making any booking arrangements with PAL, those in the PICs in particular, should verify first if there are flights from your point of origin to Auckland within 24 hours prior to the departure time.

Current transit regulations in New Zealand require Filipinos to have an approved New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) and passengers must spend less than the maximum 24-hour layover period in New Zealand. Transit passengers can only travel via Auckland and must only stay in the designated transit area of the airport throughout.

Information regarding transiting through Auckland may be found at this link: https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa/tools-and-information/your-journey-to-new-zealand/before-you-travel-to-new-zealand/transit-passengers.

For those who have not accomplished the request for repatriation form of the Embassy, kindly accomplish the form found at the following link to minimize the waiting time at the airport: https://forms.gle/QMuWv1PntWHZzTFY9.

All passengers are likewise requested to read PAL’s guide on arrival and quarantine procedures which may be found at this link: https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/ph/home/covid-19/arrivingintheph.

The Embassy understands that there may still be a number of Filipinos, especially from other PICs, who will be unable to join the flight on 04 September 2020. Rest assured that the Embassy will continue to look for ways to bring our kababayans home and reunite them with their families.
