Ambassador Kira Azucena and PTIC-Sydney Attaché Alma Argayoso spent an afternoon with New Zealand-based food importers of Filipino brands in Auckland. Over a traditional Filipino merienda of lumpia, siopao and taho, they invited the participants to join the forthcoming International Food Expos in the Philippines to know more about the latest products that they can introduce and mainstream to the greater Kiwi market and discussed ways to facilitate the entry of more Filipino food products, including Philippine mangoes, to New Zealand.

At present, Filipino food products available in New Zealand include fresh bananas, pineapples, dried mangoes, canned goods and snacks.
