/ advisory

The Embassy has received numerous complaints about being disappointed and misled by fellow Filipinos promoting such schemes.

While they may not all be illegal, there are numerous reports of criminal activity in the guise of Cryptocurrency and MLM, in the Philippines, in NZ, the Pacific and around the world.

The Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has circulated many advisories alerting the public about this.

Filipinos are warned regarding Recruitment, Employment and Insurance Advisers and Agents who are also promoting Cryptocurrency and MLMs, and about Insurance firms which operate on an MLM basis.

Accordingly, the Embassy will refrain from participating in activities being sponsored by such individuals and firms engaging in Cryptocurrency and MLM activities.
