Wellington, New Zealand, 25 April 2026 - Ambassador Kira Christianne Azucena paid tribute to the fallen Australian and New Zealand soldiers who served during World War II on the ANZAC Day commemorations organized by the New Zealand government at the Pukeahu National War Memorial.

The ceremony also marked the return of the carillon bells for the first time in 14 years following earthquake strengthening works.

This year commemorates the 111th anniversary of the first landing at Gallipoli in 1915.
